Purpose of Position

To lead the pricing function for the group to ensure creative, competitive and innovative bids are delivered to existing and future clients
Develop and manage key supplier relationships to support the bidding function and create competitive pricing models. Working collaboratively with Operational teams and Business Development Directors (BDD) to achieve Company sales and bidding targets

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop market leading pricing and FM delivery solutions for all bidding opportunities.
  • Take full ownership of the costing model for each bidding opportunity working alongside the Bid team and BDD.
  • Understand the commercial and contractual terms of each bidding opportunity and ensure commercial risks are identified and quantified within the cost model.
  • Maintain Bellrock’s cost model, updating as required to ensure wage rates, NI and pensions etc are in-line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Work across the Bellrock Group companies in Workplace and Compliance, Technical and Real Estate, Software and M&E ensuring the cost models are reflective of the services delivered and meets their business unit requirements.
  • Assist the BDD by attending client site visits and surveys.
  • Management of Framework pricing model.
  • Responsible for the labour loading of M&E assets within the Bellrock Cost Model with SFG20 or equivalent.
  • Caveat all bidding assumption within the cost model.
  • Assess all bid opportunities with relevant BDD to estimate win probability.
  • Engage direct and indirect supply chain partners to create solutions and competitive pricing models.
  • Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer and contractual issues are raised and flagged.
  • Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues
  • To benchmark all final bid costs to ensure cost are within industry norms.
  • Create P&L and cashflow forecast for each bidding opportunity.
  • Handover cost model to operations and finance ensuring full understanding of income vs. expenditure.

Qualifications / Experience

  • ONC / OND or HNC / HND in building services engineering (HVAC related)
  • Or Qualifications in the following;
    • Gas safe / Corgi
    • Acops 1-15 & 16
    • City & guilds mechanical or electrical
    • IEE 17th edition regulations
  • Experience of labour loading using SFG20 methodology and Crown Commercial Services FM Framework.
  • Strong understanding of building engineering systems to support the pricing of M&E assets.
