The opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician to join onsite team on a temporary basis at Central London. The post holder will liaise closely with the M&E Engineer & Facilities Manager in order to priorities day-to-day tasks and duties.

Key Accountabilities

  • Daily check of interior and exterior condition of the premises, the plant room and lift installations ensuring defects are reported
  • To carry out, where qualified, or assist M&E Engineer with the PPM tasks
  • To carry out, where qualified, or assist M&E Engineer with remedial work
  • Record utility services meter readings if required
  • Carry out weekly tests on fire alarms
  • Liaise with M&E Engineer or Facilities Manager where any Sub-contractor is required to attend breakdowns to specialist plant and equipment
  • Liaise with M&E Engineer sub-contractors for compliance with permit to work system ensuring risk assessments, Health & Safety and quality of completed works
  • Provide a reactive service to carryout minor maintenance items i.e. minor repairs, replacement of light bulbs, unblocking of taps/toilets, inspection lubrication and minor adjustments to pumps air handling units and fans, door and frame repairs, door closer repair and replacement, suspended ceiling repairs, door furniture repairs, glazing repairs, signage repairs, ladder and step-ladder inspection for H&S, minor plastering repairs, decorating repairs, lock repair replacement
  • Making good and touching up; minor repairs
  • Clean designated work areas
  • General external litter collection and grounds maintenance
  • Any ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Facilities manager
  • Ad hoc PPM tasks

Qualifications & Experience

  • Basic skills in painting, carpentry & plumbing
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must be physically able to fulfil all designated duties
  • Must be self-motivated, pro-active and require minimal supervision
  • A City & Guilds qualification in a related trade would be desirable
In return Bellrock are offering a competitive salary. Working hours are Monday – Friday based on 40 hours per week and 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays.
