As part of our continued growth, the opportunity has arisen for the Resident Building Service Engineer – Electrical  to join our onsite team based in Luton. The purpose of the Resident Engineer role is to provide PPM servicing and reactive breakdown service. You will be required to work in the Luton Parkway providing excellent standards in HVAC servicing and reactive maintenance including plumbing and minor fabric works whilst maintaining excellent levels of customer/client service and ensuring adherence with all contractual deliverables.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Carry out PPM servicing works to an agreed planned asset schedule working in a clean tidy and professional manner and representing the business to high standards at all times including HV/LV distribution, UPS systems, Lighting Systems, PA & Voice Alarm systems
  • Carry out all works using agreed safe systems of works referring to risk assessments and method statements. Obey all site rules and wear all appropriate uniform and PPE at all times and ensure compliance with permit requirements
  • Carry out reactive maintenance repairs to our customer’s premises to agreed KPI response times carrying out repairs to the highest standards and reporting any immediate defects or further works required.
  • Receive, attend and update all jobs in a timely manner using the provided IT equipment, followed by accurate detailed records both electronically and in the site daily logbooks.
  • Provide accurate and detailed timesheets encompassing of time and material usage
  • Ensure that the help desk is updated at all times with your status, job progress, job completion, quotes required etc. to ensure the customer is always updated.
  • To work within the budget constraints of the individual contract and show commercial acumen when making decisions around forecasting and estimating works.
  • Ensure all associated paperwork and certificates are completed and signed by relevant authorising parties
  • Shift patterns across 06:00 – 22:00 Monday – Friday (flexible)

Competencies, Core Qualities & Attributes:

  • City and Guilds Electrical Qualifications to 18th Edition
  • Proven experience in a similar role essential
  • Corporate/Critical Environment – experience desirable
  • IT literacy essential
  • Strong understanding of related trades
  • Contract management exposure
  • Fully qualified professional with a recognised qualification and relevant experience.
  • Support more junior members of the team, act as technical mentor
  • Management of internal and external stakeholders
  • Support senior managers running the commercial and contractual aspects of the programme
  • Experience of leading on building services and multi-disciplinary projects
  • Experience of mentoring and leading project teams
  • Enthusiastic and ambitious
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation
  • Experience of managing client relationships
In return Bellrock are offering a competitive salary. Working hours are Monday – Friday based on 40 hours per week and 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays.
