Together with partners, Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) and Demand Logic, Bellrock are once again award winners. The data-driven Symphony Model won a coveted Collaboration Award by offering an easier way to deliver world-class occupier experiences.
The Chartered Institution of Building Service Engineers (CIBSE) Building Performance Awards were held in London on 27th February. Hosted by comedian Marcus Brigstocke, the event brought UK facilities management leaders together to celebrate achievement and elevate sector-wide potential.

The Awards’ Collaboration category showcases work that delivers ‘outstanding outcomes’ for new build, refurbishment, design or maintenance projects. 2025’s Award went to LGIM, Carbon Architecture and Bellrock’s Symphony Model for advanced FM.
“A game-changing tool for optimising building performance”
The Symphony Model is a multi-layered, collaborative building management model that connects stakeholders like facilities managers, M&E suppliers, and consultants. Instead of siloing data away, information collected in one area gets used by others to facilitate better outcomes elsewhere.
The benefits are transformative for the UK FM sector:
- More stakeholders get easier access to better-quality information, informing smarter decisions
- Energy saving, carbon reduction, and other sustainability strategies are implemented and measured more accurately
- Data gets passed back to designers and architects, used to optimise future building designs
- Built environments become safer, healthier, and more cost-efficient without sacrificing occupier experience
Symphony is already being used in over 20 multi-let buildings to fine-tune 2 million ft2 of office space. Over its first six months of deployment, an estimated 2,111,483kWh of energy was saved via 6948 individually tracked actions. Some £404,250 has been saved in repair callout costs already.
The CIBSE judges commended Symphony’s creators for making it easy to replicate, delivering the benefits faster and to more people. A holistic approach to development, and comprehensive training delivered via the Symphony Academy swung the decision in LGIM’s favour.
”Operating real estate is complex with many different building user requirements and many people involved to manage and maintain the space. Our Symphony Model has set a benchmark for what is possible through collaboration and technology across millions of square feet of property in the UK. We are proud to win the CIBSE Award to recognise all our partners fantastic work in this area.”
