Our vision for sustainability focuses on four themes; energy efficiency and carbon reduction, waste reduction and recycling, water preservation, and partnering with our supply chain and customers on best practices, innovation and initiatives.
Bellrock’s Sustainability Pledge
Bellrock is committed to operating sustainably to safeguard the environment for present and future generations.
Learn MoreOur Sustainability Vision
We believe in the principles of ensuring our business actions and activities are undertaken sustainably to minimise our impact on the environment and the lives of our customers, colleagues, and the wider public.
We are carbon neutral
Bellrock are so committed in reducing and offsetting the greenhouse gas emissions that we produce, that we’ve taken action now. Through working with Sustainable Advantage and South Pole, Bellrock have offset 1,840 tonnes of CO2 emissions to become a Carbon Neutral business.
Energy efficiency & carbon reduction
We envisage a business that is powered by sustainably generated energy with net zero carbon emissions driven primarily through renewables and reduced consumption. Bellrock commit to be net-zero carbon by 2040, ten years ahead of the Paris Agreement. We are transitioning to an electrified vehicle fleet, incentivising others to do the same. At the same time, we are taking steps to transfer power and heat generation in our corporate offices to renewables.
Waste reduction & recycling
Reducing waste and increasing our rate of reuse and recycling is vital to becoming a sustainable business. To achieve this, we will divert 100% of waste from landfill by improving our recycling and reuse rates. Our adoption of food waste recycling and the elimination of single-use plastics across our operations is key to this goal.
Water reduction and preservation
We recognise that water is an important natural resource that must be safeguarded. Water conservation strategies such as the use of efficient fixtures can reduce water usage in most commercial or institutional buildings by over 30%. Bellrock are introducing water-saving technology, rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling systems to help conserve valuable water resources
Partnerships
We are working with our supply chain partners to mirror our sustainability strategy, vision and pledges through sharing with them our sustainability best practices and innovation. We work in partnership with them on joint carbon and waste reduction initiatives, offering incentives to influence their practices and behaviours, measuring and monitoring their sustainability performance.
Similarly, we work with our customers to share best practice and innovation, partnering with them on sustainability initiatives where the opportunity arises
